support for XMP metadata?

We have some 5000 JPEG and TIFF images scanned in Photoshop Elements with captions, image dimensions, copyright information etc. entered as metadata.

Will DCB upload this metadata automatically with the digital object?

No currently, but good suggestion

Hi ansjan,

Thanks for asking about this. Currently the DCB doesn't extract XMP but adding support for this is a good idea.
